A co-founder and former executive of Nelvana Limited, Clive Smith is an acclaimed creative talent in the world of animation. Smith's many credits include co-producing and directing numerous features and television specials including the animated Beetlejuice, Cosmic Christmas, The Devil and Daniel Mouse, Intergalactic Thanksgiving, Tintin, Rupert, and the classic animated feature Rock & Rule.

Smith left Nelvana in the fall of 2001 to develop several independent media projects with Musta Costa Fortune Inc., his production company formed with his creative partner and long time sweetheart Melleny Melody.

He is currently working on a graphic novel with the working title The Rather Unusual Adventures of Ice Cream Girl and Mr. Licorice. It is the story of a brilliantly creative young man who has a rare disorder that causes him to see the world as a cartoon.
